I would like a to start a ecommerce site with a blog and newsletter (these two are crucial for what I’m doing) facility with a low monthly rate or 1 off payment. Anyone know where I could find such a site?

As a note I would prefer to be able to play with the html coding a little to change color etc. Not just a fixed template if possible.

Question: Can someone suggest a macro or software to ideally do the following: changes to a set style/format in my Word Template — moving web content to Word that is justified, wraps, no inserted carraiges (paragragphs), or spaces, and formats to a predetermined font?

Background: I have a Word 2003 newsletter that uses basically a lot of cut & past text from the Web. My newsletter has a set style, of font: Ariel 10, black letters, justified. A good hour is spent reformatting that could be spent editing :-(

Any pointers, resource suggestions are appreciated!!

I am using a newsletter template with Microsoft Word. Down the bottom of the page, opposite to the page number, is ‘lorem Ipsum :: [date]‘. How do I edit/remove this?

I need the code for the other background- or layout, whatever you call it. I know how to do the code with the fixed background-attachment (which is in CSS, if I’m not mistaken). The problem is I don’t know how the webmaster puts on the body containing the text inside those light green box… if you get what I mean.

I also need the codes for the navigation bar above ( Home, Newsletters, …), the header image, the box after ‘affiliates’ and the box of ‘the winners’.

As much as possible, please answer the first question. Thanks in advance.

I’m the secretary of my college’s Anime Club, so I have to send out the mass emails to everyone. One of my friends told me that the email seemed kinda…blah. I need to know how to take an html document and put it into Gmail to look like those newsletters you get from Borders and stuff. I know html code and I’m getting Dreamweaver CS4 next week, so making the page isn’t the problem. It’s just putting it into the body of the email without making it an attachment.

And no, I can’t switch from Gmail. It’s the club’s email, not my personal one. XD And I can’t go and get a domain name and stuff.

Basic concept of site: baby name site. Parents can look up their favorite names, buy a baby name book, seek baby name consulting services, etc.
What I already have: I already have my site mapped out. I literally have an exact template laid out of precisely what I want in terms of a layout. I also have all of my content written. I don’t want a web designer to make everything for me. It’s more like, I already know what I want, and I want somebody to put my ideas into action. Hosting, domain registration, and ecommerce solutions by GoDaddy.
Products/services of the site:
-A book, which will be available for purchase at another website via a link on my site
-Consulting, which is available for purchase on my site.
-Name database, which is the most complicated service. Paying members can search for names in the database, or manually browse alphabetically or by popularity. The content isn’t made up yet.
Other features of the site:
-A blog (I can have this onsite, or link to an outside blogging site)
-A page to subscribe to a free e-newsletter
-An advice column
-Name of the Week
-These would require updating quite often (weekly) but if it’s just a content or even an HTML update, I could do it. I don’t need a designer to be doing maintenance for me every week.
Overall I plan for it to be between 20 to 30 pages (I counted 22). I have already started designing the page, but I don’t think I have the skills to do it all. I was looking up designers near me and they want 00 for a 4 page, static, templated page. To me, what I want is not worth that much because I have already designed my own layout of what I want, provided my own content and images, etc, I just want somebody to make it. I don’t have a lot of money to spend on graphic design. So, how much should I be looking to spend on something like this? And please don’t say ‘it depends’ because I just spent this whole thing being very specific on what I want.
