@FutureComputing These tutorials are for beginners this is a tutorial on the basic setup for a css website from there you can go crazy & design it how ever you desire.

@MidgetMan14xxEClipse In order to center the site you have to instruct the main “body” tag in CSS. Make the “margin: 0 auto;” and “padding: 0;”

@lbrandon225 If its a div “id” then you address it with a “#”. If you look closely he used a div “class” and you address it with a “.”

I tryed doing this in notepad on windows xp and it just would not work it would only do the writing not the text o and I copyed you letter for letter and word for word

my sidebar and content are not centered. They float to left (sidebar) and right (main). i did everything like you did, it looks the same, but with side and main to the exterior margins. Why could that happen?
